Welcome to BuildTheFolio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BuildTheFolio platform, website, and associated services.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and agree to these Terms.

1. Content Ownership & License

You retain 100% ownership of all intellectual property, text, images, and professional data you upload to BuildTheFolio. By using our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license solely to host, display, and securely serve your digital portfolio to the internet. We claim no ownership over your professional legacy.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

BuildTheFolio offers premium subscription tiers. By selecting a paid tier, you agree to pay the recurring subscription fees associated with that plan. We reserve the right to modify pricing, provided we give existing active subscribers a minimum of 30 days' advance notice.

Subdomains assigned under buildthefolio.com (e.g., [handle].buildthefolio.com) remain the property of BuildTheFolio. They are leased to you for the duration of your active account. We reserve the right to revoke, reclaim, or reassign subdomains at any time if they violate our Acceptable Use Policy, impersonate official system functions, or if the account remains inactive for an extended period.

3. Account Security

Access to BuildTheFolio utilizes secure authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email account associated with your profile. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your communication channels.

4. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildTheFolio's liability for any claims arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. You agree to indemnify and hold BuildTheFolio harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from the content you upload and host on your portfolio.

5. Service Evolution & Termination

We are constantly improving BuildTheFolio. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon cancellation, your public portfolio will be deactivated.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
